This post is for a coordination & Permitting office working in the Highways and Streetworks service, who have network management responsibility for Islington roads. The role in predominately to manage and coordinate all works that take place, both planned and emergency. To maintain current and projected income levels it is essential that we retain this position. There is also a statutory requirement to manage the network in such a way as to ensure the expeditious movement of traffic and lessen the impact to residents and businesses. We are currently in receipt of funding  that runs until the end of March 2026, that has been used to fill this position over the last 18 months. This 3-month time frame that is being requested will enable us to fulfil our network management duty, uphold our funding requirements and back fill the position recently vacated as the post holder successfully gained a permanent role in another position with Islington Council.
