Job Title: Assessing Social Worker – Fostering Recruitment and Assessment Team We are looking to appoint a dynamic Fostering Assessing Social Worker to join our Fostering Recruitment and Assessment Team. In this role, you will: Recruit and assess new families interested in becoming foster carers for Camden or those exploring the Supported Lodging Host Scheme. Deliver pre-approval training such as Skills to Foster. Complete Form F assessments, Host Assessments, and specialist fostering assessments. Participate in the Fostering Team and Service duty rota several days each month. Contribute to team activities, including delivering support groups and training for carers. Attend Outreach and marketing events and campaigns to generate interest about Foster with Camden. About You: A qualified social worker with post-qualification experience, ideally within a fostering team environment. Skilled in completing fostering assessments with strong analytical ability. Knowledgeable about the legislative framework for children, including the Children Act 1989, Fostering Service Regulations 2011, and related guidance. Confident in negotiation and able to manage conflict, hostility, and vulnerability effectively. A positive, expert practitioner who values teamwork and service development. Requirements: Diploma in Social Work or equivalent qualification. Registration with Social Work England. Enhanced DBS clearance.
