Cardiff Council will commence implementation of its Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) solution in April 2028 and require a senior project manager to help implement the ICT projects contained within this programme. The main job duties include: 1. To manage, develop, lead and motivate a project management team, who will help implement the ERP Programme within timescales and budget. 2. Ensure project governance is in place so that decisions are taken appropriately and in line with organisational delegations of authority. To provide project updates and detailed advice and information to the Programme Board, Programme Manager and Chief Officers, ensuring they are fully informed in programme/project progress and help them in decision making. 3. Develop, monitor and maintain project plans which identify the critical path and required resources, guiding and managing teams to deliver against the project plans. 4. Build effective relationships with stakeholders and project sponsors to achieve project outcomes, ensuring excellent communications to support delivery. 5. Communicate programme and project progress, risks, and outcomes, addressing challenges collaboratively. Identify, assess and manage project risks, working with stakeholders to ensure full understanding of the risk portfolio. Manage issues and problem-solve to overcome barriers to project success.
